Meet Camille Cozzini, the lovely owner of Odile, the premier Luxury Children’s Boutique in
Chicago. Camille has traveled the globe to select lines for her store, many of which can only be found in Europe. Open for only a year, Odile has already cemented itself as the epitome of a high-end children’s clothing store. It’s easy to see why when you experience the cashmere baby blankets and stylish, pint-sized riding boots… Both items that even a grownup would covet!
What is your store’s style in 3 words or less?
Classic, European, Traditional.
What is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?
For me nothing is more beautiful than Italy. From the countryside to the city to the food, fashion and people; being in Italy feels like home and it makes me happy, calm and content.
Whose style do you admire right now?
I’ve always admired the classics like Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O and Grace Kelly. Theirs is not so much a style as a way of life. Plus, I can always justify spending way too much money on a timeless shoe, coat or bag that I will wear forever and will be in style forever!
What is your most prized possession?
My dog Otto. Although, I’m pretty sure he thinks he owns me, and not the other way around.
You have one full day to spend in Chicago. What would you do?
Take Otto to the dog park at Millenium Park to burn off some energy, walk to get a manicure/pedicure at Pinky in my neighborhood, have some acupuncture (to curb stress)at Lincoln Square Acupuncture in the afternoon, and meet up for dinner with my best friend Claire that night at Le Colonial.
Describe the outfit or accessory that makes you feel the most sexy or beautiful.
I just bought a new navy military inspired coat from MaxMara for winter that’s both sexy and beautiful.
Tell us something that no one knows about you.
I’m terrified of failure.
Describe your most memorable Taigan find.
If I were on death row and could have anything I wanted for my last meal I would fly to Paris (under the supervision of my parole officer, of course) and go to le Relais de l’Entrecote for a few orders of steak frites and a bottle of the house red. I’m not sure what’s in their secret sauce, but it’s pretty unbelievable.
What is your favorite item found on Taigan?
I bought my dog Otto an octopus toy from Come. Sit. Stay. Anything that makes him happy makes me happy.
What is your favorite item found in your shop?
I have a lot of favorites, but for me, the quintessential Odile gift is a knit set from Le Nouveau Ne. It is quite possibly the most luxurious knitwear you could ever wrap your baby in. They are completely hand knit by sweet little Italian women from Biella, Italy. I remember seeing them on a trip to Italy and immediately knowing that I had to sell them in my store. They are the ultimate heirloom piece to pass down through the generations.
