Resolutions and Reflections

Tis the season for resolutions! We’ve asked some of our shop owners what they plan to do differently in 2011, and wanted to share their answers with you. Enjoy!

Amy Gardner, Scarpa: “To be a better communicator. To work at achieving balance between work and home (and not always worry about what I’m not doing but instead focus on what I am doing). To be in the moment.”

Claudia Fowler, Haven: “To return to my yoga practice”

Adriane Jamison, Curve Soleil: “To be more charitable!!!”

Barbara Heath, The Mercantile: “During the past year, I have met so many incredible women who are truly inspiring (to include many of the Taigan founders), and have been wanting to have a “ladies night” at The Mercantile.  An opportunity for me to bring together all these wonderful women, sit back, enjoy each others company, etc.  I just think some wonderful ideas will emerge, as well as friendships!  So one of my New Year’s resolutions is to stop talking about it and plan it.  I’ve already solicited the help of one of my favorite artists, Elizabeth Stockton, to help in the execution of the evening.  I guess now that I’ve made that public, it’s a must!!”

Ann Ziebell, Ann Ziebell: “To bring even better bling into the New Year!!!”

Christy Ford & Jan Roden, And George: “To be more patient with the people around us, that we always assume know what we are thinking , at that instant!”

Denise Marsh, Beige: “To enjoy life and travel more and of course spend as much time as possible with my family.”

Peter Elliot, Peter Elliot Mens & Boys: “To make no more resolutions”
