I am crazy for jewelry. Not just any jewelry, I specifically love texture and more specifically, I LOVE a great story! I love jewelry made from stones or pieces of bone or re-purposed treasures, something that “lived” before. I was in a jewelry store once that had fabulous pieces set in Mexican silver. I spied a particular pair of earrings, long drop style, with a gorgeous purple quartz on the end with wisps of silver cascading down the chain. When I asked to see them, the jeweler informed me the artist named the earrings “orgasm”, to which I replied, “they’re mine!” I mean, who could resist?
Taigan’s amazing selection of jewelry is heaven for a jewelry junkie such as myself. From Melissa Braniff’s creations using ancient coins, to the beauty of Nga Waiata’s combination of exotic woods and smokey stones, my passion for a story, a tone, a texture or even a name are indulged. Oosik, you say? Hmmmm, “they’re mine!”
