As we all know, Nichols is constantly “hunting” all over the world to find new product for our highly curated e-net site, but this design trade show truly takes the cake in her opinion. From the presentation of exquisite artisans and designers to the clothing of the show directors themselves, everything was imminently stylish and flawless.

“Nobody does it like the French,” said Taigan CEO, Elizabeth Nichols. “And that resonated throughout this fall’s show. All the presentations were merchandised in a way to make me fall in love with the products whether I believe it was a great for Taigan or not.”

The most notable aspect of the show is the tremendously comprehensive collection of international designers and artisans – almost completely unfound in US trade shows. They are barely ever presented in domestic markets.

“Simply because these artisans never travel to our domestic shows,” said Nichols, “It is crucial for Taigan to have a presence here each year as well as any other buyer if they have the means to do so.”

His name is Andy Scurlock and he’s known for inventing St. James Cheese Company’s house made pork pie. He went home with the $10,000 prize.

This is the third NOLA winner on Chopped this year.. If that doesn’t prove those people know food, we don’t know what does.
